Project Focus: S.A.G. Solarstrom to construct 48MWp system in northern Italy

S.A.G. Solarstrom is to construct a 48MWp ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant in region of Veneto, in the municipality of Canaro, northern Italy. This is the largest project to be planned by S.A.G Solarstrom to date.

The project will be managed by S.A.G., who will work together with cooperation partner, Solibra Solar Solutions. S.A.G. will also apply financial resources from the refinancing of completed projects in the first stage.

The system, which will be constructed on a total area of 150 hectares, has received all necessary approvals so that work on construction of the power plant can be started. S.A.G. is building its own transformer substation that will allow the system to be connected directly and the electricity to be fed into the high-voltage grid; this will then be sold to Italian company Terna once the project is complete.

The project will be implemented in 2010 and 2011 and substantiates the forecast for 2010 with sales of between €190 and €210 million and an EBIT of between €8 and €11 million.
